Envy entered VALORANT in July 2020 and quickly became a consistent North American contender. The team’s biggest peak came in 2021, when it reached the Grand Final of VCT Masters Berlin. The brand was retired in 2022 after it was acquired by OpTic Gaming. It later returned on January 17, 2025, when Mike “Hastr0” Rufail re-acquired and re-established the Envy name.
